Expert Video - What immunotherapy treatments are used for small cell lung cancer (SCLC)?

Medical oncologist Dr. Manish Patel discusses how immunotherapy is used to treat small cell lung cancer (SCLC). Immunotherapy has been shown to improve outcomes in patients with both extensive-stage and limited-stage SCLC. In SCLC, immunotherapy has been used almost exclusively in combination with chemotherapy in patients with metastatic disease. He also discusses the immunotherapy drug called durvalumab, which is used after finishing chemotherapy and radiation therapy for earlier-stage SCLC. In addition, he provides an overview of the use of a new immunotherapy drug called tarlatamab, which is used in metastatic SCLC that has progressed despite chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments.
